Full Look: Dress Harlienz from Qatar and Bag Chylak

Fierce,

This isn’t my first time slaying in Paris, but it was my first time experiencing in Paris like a local. By local, I’m referring to taking public transportation, going cafe and French food trip, and avoiding the hotels.
If you’re thirsting for adventure and wanting to take the plunge into something new, I highly recommend you experience Paris like a local.

When the first time I went to Paris 2 years ago, I’m guilty of being an avid Uber user everywhere I go but this time I want to try something different and just be open to new possibilities while walking the streets of Paris. (Fierce Tip: Be extra careful with your bags and gadgets)

PARISIAN CAFES:

Parisians love their baguettes and croissants (and I do too!), so visiting multiple cafes is a must. Their cafes are on another level with the tables so tightly packed that it can be hard to get seated. However, there’s so much character and life in every cafe from the decor down to the pastries. And they’re all so singular with none being like the other.

TAKE THE METRO

Uber is the easy way out. However, If you want to experience being local you need to take public transportation. I love taking the metro because I get to see different kinds of people and unexpected moments. When you enter the metros in Paris depending on which you enter, they’re almost museum-like, displaying works of art. You’ll find some encased in copper like the Arts et Metiers or paintings and illustrations of French history.

I feel like these days most people set off to Paris with a list of places to see, museums to explore, and neighborhoods to shop. I don’t think you get to soak in a true Parisian experience by doing this. If you want to experience Paris like a local, I’d recommend you stashing away all those Instagrammable hot spots and enjoy the lovely architecture and culture around you.

Slow travel in Paris last Fashion Week has helped me to appreciate more Paris in general. I get to experience how to be like a local by walking and just looking around. It gives me the confidence to walk anywhere, visit different shops, cafes and restaurants knowing that I will learn and experience something new. I’ve learned slow travel during my last trip to Sa Pa, Vietnam last February. I find it useful when it comes to my work because I tend to always just focus on the fashion side of my trips instead of appreciating the city and the people.

It’s a romantic city to get lost in and walk through with tons of cafes to just marinate in and people watch. Take advantage of slowing down and watching the city go by before you. Stay Fierce!

Fierce,

Keep it cool and edgy with Raf Simons latest Menswear Spring 2020 Collection, red gloves pair with beige inner, orange gloves with a checkered top, lavender shorts with leather shoes is a juxtaposition of elements with lazy kind of look makes it more interesting.

For me, If I just wanna have to wear something for a lazy breakfast hangout with friends I’ll go with Raf’s latest collection as it is too casual in a way that colours play a vital role to keep the look interesting. Boxy shirts with distressed pants are what I need for a casual party. As it looks very simple and yet edgy cool.

Fierce,

An interesting twist to your usual casual, Valentino Menswear Spring 2020 Collection is here to teach you how it should be done with right classic accessories. Leopard print sunglasses, camouflage print in blue and brown, pink coats and beige tops will definitely make your Summer look a picture perfect that needs a tap of likes.

What I find so interesting in this collection is that it gives me a feeling of a summer camp in the southern part of France. That chill and yet non-conventional summer look is what I need to see for guys nowadays. I find it interesting when a man knows how to carry a printed top with tailored pants. Valentino is one of my favorite collection this season.

Here are my top picks:

Fierce,

Someone somewhere is going to see your happiness and try to damper it.
They are going to see your positivity and question it. They are going to see how you act—full of life with a smile on your face—and poke fun, or judge, or wag their finger in front of your nose and tell you all the ways you’re wrong.
Don’t let them.

Life is too short to not be passionate – about things, about people, about love, about living.

And if there’s a career or person you’re crazy about, a goal you’re fighting to pursue, a dream you’re still doodling in the corner of your notebook, a song you just keep on singing—I hope you never stop letting that passion fill you.

Our dreams, our drive – those are things that matter at the end of the day. Not how many possessions we accumulate or how much money is in our wallets. Not the things we’ve accomplished or the recognition we’ve been given, or even the times we’ve failed.

What matters are the lives we’ve touched and the joy that has filled not only our hearts but the hearts of those around us.

That’s why when you find something that makes your body and soul shine, you cannot give up on it, no matter what anyone says.

Don’t let the world define who you become. Don’t let people’s opinions change who and what you love, or how you act. Don’t let harsh words hold you back, or criticisms keep you stagnant. Don’t let the world try to mold you into what it feels is best. Don’t allow yourself to be changed for the wrong reasons.

Don’t let anyone dull your shine.

If there is something you’re passionate about, stop questioning and relying on the guidance of the people around you, and listen to your heart. Too often people try to deter us from our deepest wishes out of jealousy or bitterness. Sometimes even those that love us fear for us, so unintentionally they hold us back.

But if it’s a dream you’ve been dreaming – pursue it. Let go of caution and leave negativity behind. Jump, walk, run, fly forward into the things and people you love.
Open your eyes to the possibilities.

Location: Moulin Rouge, Paris

Open your ears to wise words. Open your heart to ideas well beyond what you ever imagined. And trust – the known and unknown.

One day you will find something you love. And one day you’ll understand what I mean when I say you have to chase that something. You will have this unexplainable pull to do, to be, to become whatever it is that your heart is telling you. It won’t always make sense, but your fingers will tingle, your heart will jump, your body will suddenly feel so alive, and you will glow with the light that only passion and love can bring.

And when that happens, I hope you remember my warning: Don’t let anyone dull your shine.
Because this is your opportunity to grow, to shift, to make something beautiful in a world that’s filled with so much darkness. This is your life and your future and all that you are meant to be – if you step out of the shadows and let your light be seen.

Sparkle in the sun, dance in the moonlight, set fire to the world with the passion in your heart. You are light – beaming and brilliant.

And as long as you keep chasing what you love, as long as you keep listening to your heart and believing in yourself and your dreams, you can, and will change the world.
